Tasting Room Manager (TRM)  |   We are looking for an energetic team player to work with a fantastic employee and family team. The TRM job is full-time (average 40hrs/week). The Hunt family has been farming west of Branchport for seven generations and started the winery in 1981. A café was added in July 2016, which is using ingredients grown organically on site as well as other local produce and meats.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the day-to-day tasting room operations including tastings, visitor relations, tours, staff performance, and wine lovers members
  • Hire, train, schedule, and supervise staff
  • Provide motivation, leadership, and personnel support through coaching, guidance, and staff development
  • Collaborate with owners, winemaking, marketing and café staff to ensure the tasting room staff receives appropriate level of sales, product and general wine education and training
  • Occasionally lead specialty tours and tastings
  • Work in the tasting room with staff conducting tastings, answering phones, addressing customer service needs and recording reservations as needed
  • Work with marketing team to develop campaigns directed at increased visitors and sales

The Brewery of Broken Dreams

The Brewery of Broken Dreams located on Pleasant Valley Rd just outside the Village of Hammondsport, has an immediate part-time opening for an energetic, outgoing individual to help us expand our presence in the marketplace. The ideal individual will have a strong interest in marketing and sales, extensive knowledge of craft beer, is familiar with craft beverage sales, and has experience working in a craft beverage tasting room environment. The position of Account Developer and Serving Specialist will work to develop accounts with local retail establishments and provide support for these accounts as required. The position will also be an integral part of our tasting room staff.

Desired Skills: Previous craft beverage sales experience, Associate or Bachelor degree in a Sales and Marketing, Hospitality, or other related field, Cicerone Beer Server Certification, TIPS training, Previous tasting room experience

Salary: This is a part-time position, salary BOE
