Job Description: The Hammondsport Chamber of Commerce is seeking applicants to become the new office manager. This is a 30-40 hours per week, year-round position in the charming village of Hammondsport, at the Hammondsport Visitor Center. - Hands-on planning and execution in a leadership role with Chamber subcommittees for virtually all Chamber events, programs, and initiatives.

- Information gathering and processing for presentation and review by the Board of Directors routinely throughout the year. Additional interface with officers, the President, and various committees.

- Financial processing of income & expenses; processing of most of the Chamber’s finances in cooperation with the Treasurer.

- Frequent communication with the general public through email, phone, and in person; pertaining to a litany of issues.

- Processing of many visitors entering or otherwise contacting the Chamber for business / tourism information, optimally resulting in successful conversion of interest into business referrals to our partners.

- Management of subordinate staff and scheduling of volunteers. Additional recruitment of new volunteers each year.

The optimal candidate:

- Is proficient with the Google suite of services.

- Is generally competent with Quickbooks accounting software.

- Can use Windows and Mac computers.

- Uses or is familiar with Slack & Trello software, or is at least digitally proficient with today’s modern day app environment and computing interfaces.

- Has experience directing a staff or has leadership experience in committee / project management.

- Has sales experience.

- Is very reliable and dependable and has equally reliable and dependable transportation.

  • Hands-on management of a small tasting room staff and interaction with cidery guests; 

  • Managing daily visitor appointments, kitchen, beverage and location inventory management and ordering, and other functional tasks; 

  • Developing innovative ways to drive sales and customer satisfaction; 

  • Management of live music schedule, musicians and payments to musicians

  • Achieving tasting room goals including sales, new club members and taster traffic;

• Submit the Plan of Care utilizing the template provided by the Department of Health to the MCO and approved HCBS service providers
• Maintain contact with MCO and HCBS service providers to eliminate barriers related to access to services and to ensure quality service delivery per the individual’s HARP/HCBS Plan of Care
• Provide ongoing monitoring of the HARP/HCBS care plan and of each client’s needs, e.g., prevention, wellness, medical, specialist and behavioral health treatment, care transitions and social and community services

• A bachelor´s degree in any of the following: child & family studies, community mental health, counseling, education, nursing, occupational therapy, physical therapy, psychology, recreation, recreation therapy, rehabilitation, social work, sociology, or speech and hearing; OR  NYS licensure and current registration as a Registered Nurse and a bachelor´s degree; OR  A Bachelor´s level education or higher in any field with five years of experience working directly with persons with behavioral health diagnoses; OR  A Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC).

• Serve as a positive role model for the clients. All interactions will be conducted in a positive and professional manner.

• Provide follow-up services to nonresidential families as the need related to domestic abuse; assure smooth linkage to service providers.
• Establish and maintain a working relationship with service providers to assure basic needs of clients are met.
• Interact with various authorities and professionals on behalf of the client, all in accordance with HIPAA guidelines and agency policy. Make available a full range of services to include: transportation, 24 hr. crisis outreach services, case management, service linkages, apartment searches, set-up and household moves, client advocacy, landlord negotiations, support groups.
• Act as a liaison between victims, the intervention system and interagency review groups.
• Communicate to victims all safety/security procedures and assist with fire drills and safety inspections as assigned. 
• Assist with child care responsibilities as necessary. Plans and leads recreational activities for the children of clients. Maintains children recreational/program area, supplies, and is responsible for safety of equipment and environment. 
Education, Skills, and Qualifications (preferred): 
• Associates Degree in Human Services preferred; minimum High School Diploma or GED required, and 1 year relevant experience working with victims of domestic violence. (Relevant work experience could include volunteer work experience with victims of domestic violence and/or in the direct provision of human services.)
• Twelve hours of training may be substituted for one year of relevant work experience in the topics of: 1.) The dynamics of family violence; 2.) Child abuse reporting requirements; 3.) Confidentiality issues; 4.) Legal remedies; and 5.) Community resources and services. Six hours of training will be equivalent to six months of work
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Working knowledge of basic computer software, Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
• Valid driver's license, acceptable driving record.

All overnight hours worked are paid at an additional $1.00 per hour.
