Dry-laid stonework is the ancient art of building with stone without the use of mortar. And this July we're going to be hosting a two-day course with D.J. Kitzel – a stonemason with 22 years in the masonry trades. Hands-on learning will be mixed with direct instruction, discussion and working lunches. You'll learn the tools, techniques, materials and traditions of this incredible art form. By the time you're done with the course, you'll be able to build free-standing stone walls, retaining walls, foundations, walkways and stairs.
The course includes lunch by the Hunt Country Cafe both days, and a wonderful dinner the Friday evening before the course starts.
Pre-registration is required. Spots are limited.
Friday, July 26, 2019: Dinner from 6:30-9:30pm
